(More customer reviews)You know, I purchased this item as a gift for someone. I had known that my gift recipient really wanted a skateboard, but I didn't entirely know his skill. Potentially being a beginner, I wanted to get him a board that he could learn on, but would give him more than your standard basic (aka "Walmart" board). I have read some columns that put the Labeda boards in the "Walmart" board category, but with a Canadian hard maple deck, solid wheels, and abec 9 bearings, this board appears to offer more than a basic beginner board.
Before giving this board as a gift, tried it out some and it seemed to have a good feel to it. For the 60$ price tag, a lot of people would recommend a bare board, but I felt like this one offered a little more potential. From initial takes, I'd say it does.
